EventBookings Privacy Settings

EventBookings is no longer just a ticket registration and management system, but a platform where a community of organisers can engage together and keep an eye all the lastest events that are creating a buzz.
Thus, through your account feed you can now see when fellow organisers (whom you follow) are organising, attending or being invited to an event. You can also see what their sharing, or liking and vice versa.

However, we do understand that you might not always want to display all your information and that's okay because EventBookings allows you to control each aspect of everything you choose to make profile.

In order to set, edit or update your privacy settings, you should:
  1. Sign into your EventBookings account.
  2. From your homepage, choose the Settings menu.



  3. Scroll down on the page to head over to the Privacy Settings block.



Once on the block, here are the following things that you can enable to give public access:
  1. Lock my profile - Enabling this will hide all your user activity from appearing on anyone's feed.
  2. Allow people to contact me - Enabling this will let people contact you via EventBookings when they come across your profiles or events.
  3. Allow people to find and invite me to relevant emails - Enabling this will show your account as a suggestion to other organisers when they host events similar to the events you have hosted or attended.
  4. Allow people to follow me - Enabling this will let people to follow you and your permitted activity will appear on their feed.
  5. Allow people to see my followings - Enabling this will let people see the list of people you follow.
  6. Allow people to see my join date - Enabling this will let people see the date you joined EventBookings.
  7. Allow people to see the events I attend - Enabling this will let people see the events you attend as an attendee.
  8. Allow people to see the events I join as speaker - Enabling this will let people see the events you are invited as a speaker.
  9. Allow people to see the events I share - Enabling this will let people see the events that you organise or share on EventBookings.
  10. Hide review interactions from public - Enabling this will hide all your event reviews and comment conversations from public. Please note, the organiser of the event you will review or comment will be able to see your activity.
Additionally you can also find your mute list here.
Your mute list is the list of all the profiles that you choose to mute so that they can no longer contact you and their activities are not visible on your feed.

While the above were your account settings, you can also choose to configure the privacy settings for your organisation.
In order to access your organisation's privacy settings, please follow the following steps:
  1. Log into your EventBookings account.
  2. From your homepage, go to the About tab on the screen.



  3. Scroll down on the page to head over to the About My Organisation block.



  4. Click on the settings wheel icon on the right-most corner.
You should be able to see the following privacy settings for your organisation:



  1. Lock Organisation Profile - Enabling this will hide all your organisation's activities from the user's feed.
  2. Hide address on my organisation profile - Enabling this will hide your organisation's address from appearing on your organisation profile.
  3. Allow people to contact my organisation - Enabling this will let people contact your organisation via EventBookings through emails.
  4. Allow people to follow my organisation - Enabling this will let people follow your organisation to view your organisation activity.
  5. Hide reviews on my organisation profile - Enabling this will hide all reviews of the events hosted from your organisation.
  6. Hide review interactions from my profile - Enabling this will hide all review interactions of the events hosted from your organisation.
