How do I configure my breakout rooms?
Enabling and configuring your breakout rooms is very easy using your EventBookings account. If you have an account in EventBookings and have already created your event, you can now start configuring your breakout room following the few simple steps given below:
- Enable your breakout room:
From the More Options page, enable the breakout room settings to reveal the Breakout Room tab.
This should reveal the following options using which you can start customising your Breakout room.
- On the Brekout Room tab page, set the number of rooms:
Set the number of breakout rooms you want for your event here. Create as many as you want, we are not keeping any limitations.
- Choose how you would like to assign your participants:
If you choose to assign manually, you can decide which attendee ends up in which of your room. Similarly, if you choose to assign automatically, our algorithm will randomly assign your attendees to different rooms for you.
- Decide whether you want to schedule your breakout rooms:
If you want your breakout rooms to start automatically during your event, just enable this slider and choose the date and time when you would want your breakout room to start.
Note: You chosen date and time has to be in between your event duration because you can't have breakout rooms outside of your event.
- Decide whether your breakout rooms will be time dependent:
You can also choose to make your breakout rooms time dependent. This means your breakout room will end automatically after your scheduled time. You can do this by choosing your desired duration of your breakout room.
Note: Your breakout room cannot be longer than your main event.
- Decide whether you want to set a countdown after your event:
You can choose to set a countdown period before your breakout rooms end. This will not only give you a warning that your breakout rooms are ending but also give you some time to close and exit your rooms.
- Decide whether you want your attendees to return to your main session:
By enabling this slider, you can let your attendees exit your breakout room and enter the main session at any point of your event.
- Decide whether you want to automatically send your attendees to their allocated rooms:
If you enable this, your attendees will be directly taken to their assigned rooms when your breakout room starts without asking their permission.
Now that you are done setting the initial screens, see how you can assign, move or exchange a participant.
Click on save and click here to see how can customise your breakout rooms, assign, move or exchange a participant.
